Squad 4 Goons [Private, Training]

Solitude. A feeling Maki wasn't used to. In the Soul Society, somewhere in the Rukongai district, there's a little ghost town of a slum. This "ghost town" is a byproduct of a Hollow invasion years ago, one that wiped away many inhabitants of the Soul Society's Rukongai area, and districts in this area. It's isolation from other districts has made it the perfect training area for Maki, somewhere she can release her ominous reiatsu and talk to her Hollowed Half. Today though, she'd be training with her Captain. Since this wasn't her bullshitting, the woman had on her Soul Society uniform, Lt. badge and actually walked with a purpose. This beautiful, tall, black girl had a look on her face, a look rarely shown. A look of anxiety, because she had no idea what her Captain would put her through for this special training.

Now Maki didn't know exactly what the man would be teaching her, but she had an idea. The woman's Zanjutsu skills were at their peak performance, they were easily able to match up a Captain's. Her kido skills were impressive, but she's the Lt. of Squad 4, so they had to be. Her Reiatsu was strong, normal for a Lt., just as her Shunpo skills were. Her hand to hand skills weren't even worth mentioning, they were so horrible it's embarrassing. Though her Hakuda skills sucked, she made up for it with her impressive Zanpakuto, the welder of Holy Fire. These white flames did so much more than burn, but releasing it is something she doesn't do. Showing off her Shikai's ability is a no-no, Maki knows if everyone knows of her abilities, she'd be easier to fight. So all but three people (Her Captain, Hana and the Captain Commander) only think her Shikai can heal.

For this reason, she chose to come out to this secluded village, somewhere no one would come. Her Captain agreed, he must have wanted to keep her Shikai a secret as well, they have that kind of relationship. To Maki, Getsu is like and older brother. A guardian, great friend and wise. Ever since she entered the Soul Society, she's always looked up to him. Her laziness prevents her from impressing him too much, but the woman hopes her skills can make Getsu respect her.

The day oh glorious it was. Seemed to Getsu that he was going to enjoy it. Heading over from his barracks made him forget his original objective. It was to train his lieutenant. Teach him the ways of a warrior. Hone his skills for the next level of things. The captain level of things. Today he was going to begin his training to gain his bankai. For an abundance of reasons this shouldn't be happening but Getsu felt it should be happening. He knew all to well that he must train the girl sooner rather then later. Maki was a bright individual but her lack of training in certain aspects were her captains fault and today he was going to right those wrongs by teaching her the needed tools to evolve. What it takes to being bigger, better, faster and do not forget stronger. She was going to succeed Getsu someday and he wanted her well prepared for it.

Where he was suppose to be going location wise was still quite not sure to him. He remembered the general area and nothing more. He wasn't the best memory rise. Often forgot things and sadly they were the important things. He couldn't keep a coin if he had it in his pocket. The fact he remembers his zanpakuto's name after almost a millinium together should come to a surprise to everyone including himself. Baring his usual attire he knew this wasn't going to be fun nor easy. It was pretty dark out. Lots of wind and he was preparing to make Maki's life very difficult tonight. She wouldn't just stroll away taught. She was going to be heart. She wasn't coming away unscathed. The woman would truly know pain after all things are said and done. That was his duty as her teacher. To make her grasp the cold reality of nothing comes without a price. She wanted to obtain bankai? She'd be paying that price with her body on the battlefield tonight.

Finally reaching the area Getsu noticed Maki just standing there it seemed waiting for him. He'd walk up with a smile as he greeted his lieutenant. "Hello Maki, How are you today? Ready for our festivities?" That smile was shrouded with a dark feel to it. Getsu had plans for his lieutenant and they weren't pretty. Drawing his zanpakuto Getsu would slam it into the ground while still smiling at his lieutenant. "Ready whenever you are Maki". He'd be toying with her this time around. Gauging how her anger reacts in battle.

Squad 4 were the medical squad, they existed to help people injured in battle. Usually they had to stay back and let the other squads do all the fighting, because to lose your medical staff means you lose the war. For this reason alone, people looked down on them and thought them to be weak, not knowing what monsters some of the members really were. This night, this dark and windy night, two monsters show out. Getsu arrived, looking as he usually does, ready. "Hey Captain... yeah I'm ready." she says turning to face him. An advantage of being in the 5th Squad meant that any damage either of them received would be healed, and they could go on fighting some more. This doesn't negate the pain received, the scars created and the general feeling of being damaged, though you were fighting with all your strength. Maki grins and tries to lighten the mood like she usually does. Getsu and Maki were a lot alike, calm and wanting to use humor from time to time. "Hey, try not to cut off my clothes Getsu-san, I know your perverted mind would love to do just that." After this playful banter, she draws her Zanpakuto and positions her feet.

In life and death, Maki's actual sword skills were vast. She would have been either the Lt. or Captain of Squad 11 if she didn't enjoy kido use. Of course, her Captain was like 300 or so years older than her, this means 300 years of more training. What is the best approach to start off this battle? A head on strike? Using kido to first trick the opponent, maybe some Shunpo? It's hard to say, the Captain is better at both than she is. The best thing to do right now is feel out his skills, though this won't be easy. Maki is about 3 meters from Getsu, she rises her blade and points it towards his chest, gripping the handle tight. Without warning she shunpos to his right side and aims a chest level stab, aiming for his right arm. His kido skills would prove to be a problem, and she'd have to at least slow this down. Of course he'd be able to counter this somehow, so Maki paid close attention to his shoulders to telegraph his movements.

This was certaintly going to be interesting. Getsu hadn't faced Maki in such a long time he damn near forgot her skills. What her zanpakuto did was also a mystery. He saw it a few times but not enough to remember it. Something to do with heat. That is all he could remember. Showing his prowess in various skills Getsu would make sure his zanpakuto was in the ground knowing he didn't need it for the first wave of attacks. He knew how Maki thought and she was to brash to even realize his non cocky but cocky display as he was so dismissive to her skills. Mind games decided who would win a battle and who would lose. Luckily for Getsu he was a man who believed in mind over matter which was the first step to victory. Wondering what Maki would do Getsu thought of various scenario's in his head which might become effective sooner rather then later especially the way things were going now. He could feel it in the air. Something was starting. A war, No a battle between a man and his student. Preparing the student to usher in the new wave. To lead the future with a mentality like no other. To create another him.

Maki would grip her blade and point it towards the chest of the man known as Getsu. He smiled as she did this. She was intent on starting this off. Hopefully she kept a calm head and didn't get herself killed. Quick and swiftly Maki would vanish reappearing to the right side of Getsu aiming a stab towards his arm mainly his elbow area. She wasn't the brightest. That area would be very tender not much a kill there unless she got between the ribs. With her form it wasn't likely but it wasn't impossible either. The second the blade moved towards his arm Getsu would just jump back a good 6 meters. He'd start to speak while smiling towards his lieutenant "If that is how you strike you aren't ready to learn. I came here to teach you how to obtain bankai. Not how to obtain your basic zanjutsu skills. Act as if you know something young one." Those words with a bit of a serious tone from Getsu as he cut his smile back a bit dusting off the right side of his coat with his left arm. Preparing for the next attack of Maki.

"If that is how you strike you aren't ready to learn. I came here to teach you how to obtain bankai. Not how to obtain your basic zanjutsu skills. Act as if you know something young one." Maki spits and twist her wrist in a circle, sword following suit. He was trying to make her emotional, though Maki for the most part was a very calm and level headed person. But... Maki hasn't been the same person she used to be. Slowly a parasite engulfed her mind, making everything that was once bright and full of life, dark. Wilting away like a dead flower, her personality being forced to change over a Hollow. The Captain wanted her flames, she'd give him just this. "Fine. Shriek, Shiro Himei." She says in a low tone. White reiatsu explodes from her body, dust is blow all over the place from her spiritual pressure release. An all black, weird looking katana replaces the old and colorful sword she once had. A look in her eyes, her red eyes, sets the mood of the battle... she wasn't playing around anymore.

This was the hardest part, revealing her white flames were always hard to do. Even though the Captain already knew her shikai (though forgot it), showing the power always gets to her. Those thoughts were forced away, and the woman flexes her arm. White fire comes shooting from the Zanpakuto in front of her, burning bright and hot. Even from 6 meters away the Captain would feel the temperature and spiritual pressure, of course this does nothing to a man with Captain leveled reiatsu. With a slashing motion, the white fire is aimed right at Getsu's face, the speed matching a Shunpo master. Maki expected the man to move, but depending on where he moved determined her next chain of attack. Of course she'd make the flames follow if he did decide to avoid the first strike.

After saying his peace to his lieutenant he wasn't surprised when she began something. Her reiatsu began to flare and this was obviously her channeling her energy. She was starting to use shunpo or something maybe? Hopefully it was. He never knew his lieutenant could do that. But no then she spoke and it was the name of her zanpakuto. He finally remembered what it looked like. OUCH. That wasn't going to be fun fighting. He remembered what happened last time he saw it. Not a pretty sighting at all. Hopefully he could keep her under control this time around. A white hue exploded from her body filling the skies with a dust rising from the ground causing Getsu to place his front hand infront of his face shielding him from minerals and rocks. He had enough scars didn't quite need anymore. Her black blade just stared at Getsu offering little remorse for its plans against the captain of squad 4.


"Well things are heating up pretty fast" said Getsu with a smile on his face. He was enjoying his lieutenants skills. Maki had grown alot over the years. He was proud to see that she grew into this warrior of a woman. Hmm. With a wave of her arm the flames surrounding her shot forward towards Getsu. This caused him to smile as he flash stepped appearing back where he left his zanpakuto which happened to be near Maki. Slashing towards her in a horizontal angle near her ribs Getsu was going full speed silently stalking her. This was the way a battle was fought. He was prepping her for the battlefield that squad four never gets to see. He was prepping her for the battlefield that squad four eventually won. He was prepping her to replace him.

These great white flames, the holy fire of Maki's Zanpakuto, were her pride and joy. Releasing the sealed weapon may have been something she didn't like, but that doesn't mean she doesn't like her Zanpakuto. Her shikai brought her great joy and excitement. These amazing abilities that came forth were enough to demolish almost all in it's path, but also heal and preserve life. Nights in this district were dark, but the fire brightens everything around, giving a pretty nice view of the scene. Maki's captain's skills were unmatched by her, his speed was obviously faster than she could preform herself. Of course, her Zanpakuto's speed matched even his. Once he flashsteps towards her, she can't completely detect where he's moving, but she can see his outlines. He found himself only a few inches from her, aiming a sword slash towards the right side of her ribs. Being trained in Kendo gives her enough skill to properly block his attack, and use the same amount of sword speed as he can muster. First the woman parrys the slash by aiming her Zanpakuto downwards, then slides her blade along his, going towards the guard. Her white flames shoot towards him at a Shunpo masters speed, aiming for his upper body again. But this time, the assault isn't over yet. At this range she can use a couple of other tactics to harm her Captain, including Kido. While she parrys the attack, before the flames are shot towards the Captain, she aims to fingers towards Getsu, but the position of her body hides this. With no need to say an incantation, the girl's fingers glow and she simply says "Hado 4: Pale Lightning." And a small beam of energy, aimed towards the Captains left arm, if fired. The beam is shot once the fire rushes in towards the Captain, so both attacks seem to happen at once. His shunpo would probably come into play again, he has to be slowed down.

Hmm. This entire battle had went from stale to hot very fast. For the love of the great lord Yammamoto Getsu wasn't quite sure if this battle was going to go his way. He wanted to break Maki before he fixed her but the girl had bloomed quite a lot since he force started teaching her. Upon his attack he wasn't expecting many surprises. The increasingly burnt smell illuminated the area filling them with a thin layer of smoke. Those flames were started to overtake the area. This was certainly becoming quite the entertainment for Getsu. Hopefully no one was watching all of this unfold. So destructive but yet so beautiful. This was truly a special sighting. One of the 10 wonders of the world. That zanpakuto Maki held was one of those.. A true gift from the shinigamis of the old days. Upon his movements he wasn't sure if she could keep up with him or not. A part of him was hoping she couldn't but his inner thoughts hoped she did. This attack was one of the more deadly ones. This isn't something he'd wantt o hit her. But no she blocked it with a parry. "hmm" Escaped from Getsu's mouth before the blade of Maki began to scrap against his Getsu's causing sparks to erupt from the blade as Maki's neared the hilt and guard of Getsu's he knew this was going to go bad if he didn't react fast. As Getsu prepared to back out he noticed the glowing index finger of Maki causing him to look shocked. But then the fire was coming for him from behind. This wasn't safe at all. Virtually the second Getsu moved his haori caught on fire. Well just the left sleeve anyway. "Good Try" Getsu would say as he'd quickly reside to the right side of all of this. "You've understood the point of battle tactics Maki that is good.. But how will you deal with me taking the offensive?" Those words were said slowly as the air around the area thicken. The trees began to blow and the fire on the grass and leaves went out. Getsu's blade began to glow with a white hue to it. He was beginning to release his spiritual pressure.

Maki smiles as her attack actually managed to not only throw her Captain off guard, but burn part of his haori. Her skills were improving enough to actually be able to catch Getsu off guard, even though he was vastly stronger than she was. Of course, this was a short celebration, as soon as he began to speak she knew things were about to get hairy. "Good try. You've understood the point of battle tactics Maki that is good.. But how will you deal with me taking the offensive?" Getsu says. "Uh oh." Maki responds, raising her sword up in a defensive stance, her fire rushing behind herself. Suddenly an intense spiritual pressure erupted from this Captain, showing Maki the true strength this man holds. It was so large and overwhelming, if her own Reiatsu wasn't near his level, she'd falter and fall to her knees. The only thing she can do is grin and tighten the grip on her blade, looking at her Captain with hungry eyes. "I'm ready sir, I'll try to make you proud and stand my ground. I can take anything you throw at me!" she screams ready to take this ass-whooping.

Despite having a love for reading, even Kohaku could only sit in the squad 3 barracks for so long before becoming bored. The Soul Society was vast and within this realm stood many individuals who could provide him with some sort of entertainment and with that thought in mind the Sanbantai left his room and headed out to see what was going on. It wasn't long before he felt the spike of a rather strong spiritual pressure, no doubt belonging to a captain, and decided to head in that direction. This brought the man to the outskirts of the east side of the Rukongai districts. The 64th district of Sabitsura to be exact. Out this far, the world was vastly different from that of the Seireitei. Farmers and the like were the inhabitants of these lands and so as Kohaku calmly walked through the area with his arms crossed and tucked into the holes of each sleeve, his light blue haori fluttering peacefully in the wind, it was no surprise that he got shocked looks from the residents. He smiled back at those who made eye contanct, but for some reason this only seemed to turn their shock into fear. Eventually though, these faces vanished as he delved further and further into the district until there were no inhabitants left. Finally making it to the scene where the spiritual pressure had originated he found himself watching a battle between the 4th division captain Getsu and by the looks of it his Lieutenant.

"Battle training hmm? Seeing who this is now, I imagined they'd be out here healing little wounded animals or something."

He smiled as he spoke, the sarcasm dripping off the tip of his salacious tongue as he spoke. His chilling icy blue eyes found themselves starting directly at the girl as he spoke, while his purple hair tied into a perfect ponytail rested on his right shoulder. His eyes are often described as being the type of eyes that when you stare into them it is impossible to know what he is thinking and when he looks at you it can make you extremely uncomfortable. His mouth and lips are thin and are mostly seem making a menacing grin much like the one being presented at this very moment. Around his neck he wears a long white scarf that rests on his back on top of both his white and light blue pair of haori. His zanpaktou resting on his hip calmly having not seen the light of day in quite some time at this point. Hoping to watch and not really interrupt, he smiled at them once more as he sat in a tree out of sight from the two fighters. His words earlier had been spoken to himself and thus would be unheard by the two fighters. Though they fought in this open area, the woods surrounded them further off and that was where the Sanbantai sat watched, reiatsu lowered so as to try and go undetected.
